About Cath

Cath Witteveen is a Staff Barrister in Catherine’s team. In 2021, Cath completed her Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of Waikato. She has since worked for several government agencies and independent tribunals before being admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in July 2024.

Before joining Catherine’s team in 2024, Cath worked in employment relations providing advice on larger scale organisational restructuring, policy changes, and assisting with government sector employment matters. Prior to that, she worked alongside small to medium-sized businesses in one of Australasia’s largest employment relation firms providing advice and representation on employment disputes.

Cath takes a pragmatic client-focused approach when assisting with employment disputes and is committed to protecting employee rights and advocating for employers who are faced with claims against them.

She is available to assist with the full range of employment law matters including mediations and filing proceedings in the Employment Relations Authority.
