About Christian

Christian is a law clerk in Catherine Stewart’s team, assisting the barristers with a broad range of legal tasks. He is in his final year of an LLB (Hons) at the University of Auckland, where he placed first in Legal Research, Writing and Communication, ranking first out of 396 students, and was awarded the 2025 LexisNexis Scholarship in Legal Research. He was Dux of Nelson College, receiving nine scholarships in his final year, and previously served as President of the University of Canterbury Mooting Society.

Christian has also worked as a research assistant to Simon Schofield, an employment law lecturer at the University of Auckland, contributing to research on contemporary issues in the employment law field. He is interested in all areas of employment law, with a particular strength in legal research.
