Sharon is an Associate Barrister specialising in employment law, committed to helping clients achieve practical and effective outcomes. Sharon advises on a wide range of workplace matters, including disciplinary processes and investigations, restructures and redundancies, dismissals, personal grievances, restraints of trade, and employment disputes. She brings a pragmatic approach to negotiations and resolution, and is also an Associate Member of AMINZ with an interest in mediation and dispute resolution.
Sharon holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Waikato and has practised in employment law since 2019. Before entering the law, she spent 20 years in business management, marketing, and as a business owner and operator, with experience across New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, and England. That commercial background gives her a strong understanding of the practical realities employers and employees face in the workplace and allows her to provide advice that is both legally sound and commercially informed.
