Kent Duffy is an Associate Staff Barrister in Catherine’s team. He is a senior employment lawyer with over a decade of experience advising and representing employers in complex workplace matters, including personal grievances, mediations and litigation before the Employment Relations Authority.

He has held senior legal and advisory roles across leading New Zealand employer organisations, including the Employers and Manufacturers Association, Business Central, and Employers Assistance Limited, and as Lead Solicitor for a national employer organisation.

Kent specialises in all areas of employment law, with particular expertise in contentious matters, litigation, and strategic advisory work. He regularly advises on disciplinary processes, restructures, negotiated exits, personal grievance claims, and the enforcement of post-employment obligations.

Kent brings a wealth of experience to further enhance the depth of expertise in Catherine’s team.

He holds a law degree and arts degree from Auckland University, completed Professional Lgeal Studies at the College of Law, and was admitted to the Bar in 2015.
